Afternoon & Evening Activities

The Flames' recreation activities schedule is decided by the Flames at the beginning of each week.
 

 Day-by-Day Listings

1st Saturday - Camp opens this afternoon. Please plan to arrive after 1:00. Dinner is our first scheduled meal. The optional Opening Weekend Program begins in Adrienne Frank Fellowship Hall with sessions running 2:00-3:00, 3:30-5:00, and 7:00-8:00.

© Beki Greenwood 20101st Sunday - Sunday morning worship service in town at 10:00 at the Fryeburg New Church. Opening Weekend Program final session runs 2:30-4:30. Evening chapel service in Whitehead Lecture Hall is at 7:30 followed by Camp Orientation.

1st Monday - Regular Daily Schedule.

1st Tuesday - Regular Daily Schedule. PLUS: it's Work Day! 2:30-4:30 everyone helps with camp clean-up and important camp maintenance projects.

1st Wednesday - Regular Daily Schedule. PLUS: the Banana Hunt for dessert after supper.

1st Thursday - It's OUTING DAY! No scheduled morning or afternoon activities. Lunch is not served. Everyone packs a bag lunch in the Dining Hall after breakfast and heads out to explore the surrounding area for the day. The evening schedule is followed including the traditional Spark Hunt/Flame Hunt game of Hide and Seek between the Sparks and the Flames during Sparks Games.

1st Friday - Regular Daily Schedule.

© Beki Greenwood 20102nd Saturday - Regular Daily Schedule. Week One ends with lunch; Week Two begins with dinner. Check-out time is 4:00 for 1st week campers who are leaving. 

2nd Sunday - Sunday morning worship service in town at 10:00 at the Fryeburg New Church. Evening Chapel in Whitehead Lecture Hall is at 7:30 followed by Camp Orientation.

2nd Monday - Regular Daily Schedule.

3rd Saturday - NOT the regular Daily Schedule today! Right after breakfast this morning is the Rev. Dr. George F. Dole Celebration Three Mile Road Race so the schedule gets shaken up a bit with only one lecture at 11:00 which will be a rebroadcast of the late Rev. Dr. GFD's lectures. There will also be special events throughout the day celebrating the good reverend doctor's long run in life, including a memorial service, cocktail hour, and a special evening event: "GFD Memories and Music".

3rd Sunday - Last day of camp. Breakfast is our last meal together. Sunday morning worship service in town begins at 10:00 at the Fryeburg New Church. All campers, please plan on leaving before noon.
